You are Beautiful Just the Way You Are!!

Ok. So I did this celebrity look a like thing. It seems to be really popular around this part of the Internet. (MY SPACE) and it got me thinking. I mean really thinking. Why do we as women, and yeah I suppose some men, feel the need to compare ourselves to celebrities?Trust me they don’t look that good all the time…
After all they are people just like you or I, they get sick, have pimples, go the bathroom etc. The only difference is that we feel like we know them because we welcome them into our lives via T.V., the Internet, etc. So because we feel like we know them we begin to compare ourselves and our lives to them. We want that purse, the car, the “bling”. Its stupid. Most of the people in Hollywood are so fucked up, just like many of us regular folks. There are so many other more important things we can do with our time than try to compare ourselves to someone else. Instead of trying to imitate a famous celebrity, why can’t we instead try to imitate people who truly make a difference? I know I will from now on. You’re beautiful, just the way you are.
