My Neighbors Love’m or Leave’m –Small Talk 6–

I’ve decided to join in on the fun over at Mom Dot with their meme Small Talk Six. Every Saturday they and a host of other bloggers post a blog of six things on a specific topic. This week’s topic was six things you either loved or hated about your neighbors. Here’s mine.

I“m not really sure if the following directly counts as my neighbors as a few don’t pertain to the people who live immediately around me-but with in my community.

  1. The single dad down the street enjoys wearing his PJ pants to the bus stop. This totally grosses me out as number one I think it’s highly inappropriate and two, I can’t help but imagine what if he hasn’t anything on underneath those PJ pants! Ewwww. He’s also fond of running shirtless. I’m not fond of that either.
  2. There are lots of dogs in my neighborhood– some of their owners don’t pick up after their dung piles. This is very rude especially when found in my yard, flowerbeds, or by the bus stop where little feet are bound to hit the jack pot!
  3. Someone recently threw-up in my backyard.  We didn’t care-but I think an anonymous note of apology would have been a nice thing to do.  Makes us think that this nice neighborhood is becoming ghettofied– we worry that even if the market does bounce back-we’ll never be able to sell and get the hell out of dodge if our once nice neighborhood has become ghetto fab.
  4. I like it when the neighbors come over to borrow a cup of sugar.
  5. There’s a little old lady in my neighborhood who owns a Yorkie– I like to see her out walking her.
  6. I like the fact that I only know four of my immediate neighbors. Ignorance is bliss.
