Picture this: A stage…a REALLY big stage. A microphone (old school style like the ones used in the 1940’s), and me, hair perfectly coiffed, wearing a stunning pink and oh so posh dress, with shoes so amazing I look six feet tall. What..? This is my fantasy…so play along. Kay?
My name has been called for an award. I, Nicole of The Pink Chandelier have been awarded the Best Blog Award! I’m shocked, stunned, amazed…and wearing a smirk-’cause I am fabulous after all. (Yes, still my fantasy.)
I walk slowly to the stage so that the entire audience can check out how rockin’ awesome I look carrying my spanking brand new Mac Book Pro (Yes I’ve now gone beyond fantasy and into dreaming-because I don’t own a Mac Book-but I so wish I did!) When I climb the stairs I am a vision of elegance and grace, practically floating up the five tiny steps that lead to the microphone. Once in front of the microphone, before speaking I flash a brilliantly white knock ‘em dead smile. Then I give the following speech…if I could sing I would but I can’t. Not even in this wonderful fantasy-so I speak.
This award was such a surprise. I can’t believe I was even considered for such an incredible honor. I humbly thank you, and hope to continue to bring you blog posts that you really would like to read. I can’t accept this award with out passing it on to ten other bloggers whom I think are practically perfect in every way.
