French shoe designer Christian Louboutin–known and drooled upon for his five inch red soled stilettos has reportedly said (to Women’s Wear Daily Magazine) that before Barbie can don a pair of his shoes she needs to loose some weight–around her ankles that is. Yes folks. You read right. Barbie has been called out because she has cankles! Louboutin will unveil a three doll collection sometime early next year-but would prefer that her legs be reshaped before his designs touch her tootsies in a Cinderella-esque style. I guess its good to know that the most perfect doll isn’t perfect after all.
For her part Barbie had this to say: “My dear friend, Christian loves my ankles. It was my arch that he wanted to give a little lift to, so I can rock those high heels.” **Gag**
I think perhaps at fifty Barbie might be suffering a tad from dementia. Isn’t her foot one big arch?

That is about the stupidest thing I’ve heard a designer say. Even more than the Ralph Lauren thing that just came out about getting rid of that model for being too big.
