I Booed My Neighbors-Neighborhood Boo! Cute Ghost Halloween Craft!

On Monday my little goblin otherwise known as Evan and I went to reciprocate our Boo and Boo a few neighbors-three to be exact. It was a lot of fun! As a bonus I got to be a little crafty which I love!

I made these cute ghosts as a treat and a little holiday decor.

I also left a few extra treats in a little bag for our Boo recipients.

Making the ghosts is so easy it’s scary! You too can start a Neighborhood Boo! It is a lot of fun and really helps you get into the holiday spirit!

Supplies:

  • lollipops for the mini-pumpkins I used DumDums
  • pumpkin
  • tissue paper (you can use napkins if you’re using a bigger lollipop)
  • black marker (fine tipped works best)
  • clear scotch tape, white twist ties, or white string

To create the ghosts:

Place one tissue paper over a lollipop secure the tissue paper at the base of the ghost with tape, twist-tie, or string. For the smaller lollipops I tore the tape in half.

Draw little ghost eyes.

To insert ghosts in pumpkin:

Using a skewer or other thin pointy object gently puncture holes in your pumpkin. Its best if you puncture then place your ghost into the hole so that you can see where to place your next ghost for optimum prettiness.

That’s it! I told you it was so easy it was SCARY!

For this Booing I used mini-pumpkins but a larger pumpkin can be used as well –I’d just recommend using a bigger lollipop like a Blow Pop or a Tootsie Roll pop.

To Boo my neighbors I printed out this cute poem on cardstock  in a spooky orange font and decorated the paper with Halloween stickers and taped it on their doors

The air is cool, the season fall,

Soon Halloween will come to all.

Ghosts and goblins, spooks galore…

Tricky witches at your door.

The spooks are after things to do,

In fact a spook brought this “Boo” to you!

The excitement comes when friends like you,

Copy this note and make it two.

We’ll all have smiles upon our faces,

No one will know who “BOO“ed who’s places!

Work your spell,

Keep it secret, hide it well.

Please join the fun, the seasons here .

Just spread these “BOO’s” and Halloween cheer.

Great poem right? I didn’t come up with it myself. I snatched it from this website.

Here is what my little “Boo” looked like when left on a neighbor’s doorstep.
