Words Fail -Remembering Bryson Ross Wordless Wednesday Prayer Chain

The death of a baby is like a stone cast into the stillness of a quiet pool;
the concentric ripples of despair sweep out in all directions,
affecting many, many people.
–De Frain, 1991

Today’s Wordless Wednesday post is part of a candlelight vigil in memory of Bryson Ross, who was called to heaven Monday.

When I lit this candle my son and I said this prayer.

Oh God, let this flame kindle in the Ross family the assurance of your presence,
let it warm their souls so that they may find courage,
strength and hope in each hour that you walk with them.
Fill them with your light and guide Bryson Ross to that light eternal.
Amen.
