Last Sunday, during our hour long drive to Ikea, my husband brought up babies-as in our future babies. Yes that is baby with an “s” at the end, as in more-than-one. Typically on long drives my husband and I usually entertain ourselves by talking politics, being goofy, singing badly along with the radio, or encouraging our children to follow our footsteps and act like utter goof-balls. We don’t normally discuss family planning.
A little back story…
Since practically in utero I wanted to have lots, and lots, and lots, and lots of babies.
And then…
I had one…and another.
Now…I’m not so sure on the lots, and lots, and lots, and lots of babies part.
Our children came about because I had a need to be a mother. It took me one year of “talking” to my husband about getting pregnant, before he finally gave in caught up to me and felt “ready” for fatherhood. Personally I think he was just tired of watching me fawn over every single baby we saw, or mooning over the baby section at Target. I think he finally gave in just so he wouldn’t have to see that pathetic longing look on my face. Continue reading Two More Babies, Uh huh?
