This may sound crazy to you, but I had NO idea that the Oscars are being held today. None. I also wondered that I can’t be the only person. Then I got to thinking…about the person who wants to throw together a quick Oscar Party but has no idea where to begin on such short notice.
Don’t worry. I’m here to help! Well…not me exactly, but I can certainly point you in the right direction. (I’m awesome. I know this, but it was nice of you to think that.) Continue reading Oscar Party!
Never, ever, not-in-a-million years did I expect this.
Just a little while ago I was reading Trisha Haas’ list, “Top 100 Mom Blogs of 2009″, reading and clicking, when to my utter astonishment I saw this:
I honestly did not believe my eyes at first.
I was shocked, surprised, elated, and I have to admit…I cried a little.

Today on The View, Robert Pattinson appeared with his co-star Emilie de Ravin (Claire on Lost) in Remember Me, to chat up the film which is scheduled to be released on March 12, 2010. Throughout the interview he seemed his usual shy and befuddled self as he spoke about wardrobe issues (or the lack there of), when filming a sex scene with Ms. de Ravin.
He was also questioned about getting panicky during the Twilight première. I thought Barbara lame when she said that “not many people knew he’d been in Harry Potter”. I mean really? I suspect she didn’t know, and assumed not many people knew that tidbit of trivia. She must not truly realize how massive the Twilight brand is, which is dwarfed when compared to Harry Potter.
The ladies also got him to chit-chat about his thoughts on dating older women. His opinion “the more age, the better!” He also said that he thought Betty White was sexy, so take it with a grain of salt, and keep your panties on Cougars! I have a confession to make. I’ve never-ever watched Jersey Shore. I’m sorry Keith. I haven’t.
(Keith is an old pal, and happens to do a bit of producing–Jersey Shore one of those things he produces…) Continue reading “The View” Hot Topic Becomes Show Topic — Jersey Shore
I am so thrilled to announce that I’ve been selected by Mom Central as a brand ambassador for The View! [Insert *squeee* here.]

Learning to love life by living through loss and mistakes
Lessons learned then gradually surfacing
Letting go, stripping naked to scream
I am not perfect, nor do I strive to be
I am alive in this world of face-first falls and public breakdowns
I’m a retarded, disfigured clown
Dying to be heard for the simple art of letting this heavy wall finally fall
I’m an equal being of no race or color
A hallucination if you will
Sneaking into the lives of strangers and letting them fall apart
To a new rhythm, just to feel better — Blue October
“I am not perfect, nor do I strive to be.” Unfortunately for so many, many mothers we feel this need to be perfect. To juggle motherhood, work (in or outside of the home), our husbands, friends…in other words…life. We try to “have it all”, with out falling completely apart. I’ve been called a “super mom” or a perfect mom by friends. It’s a wonderful compliment but very far from the truth. Yes. I’ll admit motherhood comes very naturally to me. It is why I was put on this earth. But I am not perfect. I wouldn’t want to be. Continue reading Imperfection, it’s My Perfection
Was home. Home with my husband. Home with my kids. I was home a lot-because we only have one car. A fact that I bitched about on occasion. Okay, a lot of occasions.
It’s easy to get caught up in the day to day-to wish you could take your kids to the park, to run to the grocery store when you realize […]
I absolutely love the holidays. I always have. As a mother one of my favorite things about the holidays is getting to share traditions and make new ones.
Twitter Moms asked me what My Top Five Favorite Holiday Traditions Were? I just had to answer.
One of my favorite holiday traditions is Noche Buena. Noche Buena is celebrated on Christmas Eve traditionally we get together with family and friends enjoy a fabulous meal of lechón, arroz con frijoles, yuca, and other yummies. Dominos, cigars, a cocktail or three, and music and dancing is usually involved at some point. As a child I remember running around waiting with my cousins while the adults laughed and talked boisterously. Most years we’d also got to Midnight Mass. So often lately I’ve been hearing-and at times witnessing some negativity out there with regards to bloggers –specifically mom bloggers. Personally I just don’t get it. I think as women and mothers we should try and uplift each other, applaud our triumphs and console each other when things get tough-not secretly smile or try to tear each other […]
