A few weeks ago I introduced Pop On Pals to my two year old, Evan. As I opened the box he squealed with delight and couldn’t wait for me to find the scissors to open the box before he began playing with it (see photo below). Evan doesn’t normally enjoy toys for his age group, preferring instead to play with his older brother’s (age six) toys. I can’t really blame him, his cars, and legos are very entertaining.
I am happy to report that Evan actually played with his Amusement Park and continues to do so almost daily. His favorite part is the roller coaster (I’m not surprised) and he also enjoys putting his little pal on the ferriss wheel for a spin.

Puzzles are a favorite of mine and I’m happy to say that my boys enjoying putting them together with me. Not only do they offer an excellent learning opportunity but they are a great thing to have on days when it’s either too hot, cold, rainy, or inconvenient to play out of doors. Puzzles are also a great way […]

My son Evan is obsessed completely and whole-heartedly with the little action figures that come with his older brother’s legos. He usually can be found with at least one of them in hand. They go everywhere with him. Just the other day he wanted to bring one into the bath, sure enough the little guy’s hat […]

Every time I pass a Barbie I look at her with longing affection. I’m pretty sure if I had a mirror I’d see a faraway look in my eye-because I almost always recollect my days with this wonderful icon. What? You didn’t know that I played with Barbie up until I was fourteen? The summer I was off to high school I decided that it […]

So many toys today are great. I especially love toys that build imagination, encourage creativity, and are battery-less.
K’NEX is one of those toys. K’NEX is a building system whose pieces are flexible that enable your little builder to create whatever they want in both 2-D and 3-D formats. Team Mom recently sent me the K’NEX 400 Pieces Tub […]

French shoe designer Christian Louboutin–known and drooled upon for his five inch red soled stilettos has reportedly said (to Women’s Wear Daily Magazine) that before Barbie can don a pair of his shoes she needs to loose some weight–around her ankles that is. Yes folks. You read right. Barbie has been called out […]
As a child one of my favorite cartoons to watch was Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Inc. gang. I loved trying to solve the mystery of their “whodunit” storyline. Today I’m happy to say that my oldest son, is a big Scooby fan too. Warner Brothers recently sent me kit that contained a small sampling of the large variety of their Scooby-Doo products that are available for purchase and rewards points via their brand new customer rewards program called “Zoinks Points”. My toddler and I have been playing with a Melissa & Doug First Shapes Jumbo Puzzle for about a month now. It’s become one of my little one’s favorite toys. I love that the knobs on the puzzle are large enough so that his little hands can grasp them easily. He loves the bright colors (beneath the puzzles are brightly painted colored shapes), the way they feel in his hands. I love the look on his face when he puts a piece into it’s appropriate spot, he loves that he can do it! He also likes that they feel nice on his achy gums (an added bonus!). Melissa & Doug is a company that I trust. Continue reading Melissa & Doug Jumbo Knob Puzzle– Product Reveiw
